For years I've had an iCloud email account. I've taken it from me.com to mac.com and now to iCloud.
It's a supplemental account, not my main email, but I do get things I need on it. Over the weekend it wouldn't connect on my iMac, so I (perhaps foolishly) deleted the account from the mac, anticipating that I could add it again just like I have done over the years. NOW when I try to add it as iCloud mail it says my account is already taken (duh) and I have to get a new email address, not the one I've been using for years. My iPhone and iPad still have access to the email address. The only problem is getting it back onto my Mac. This is incredibly frustrating. I can access my iCloud general account, but on iCloud.com I can't get mail either.
Any advice on how to get my iCloud email back on my desktop would be welcome. Apple Footer. This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
